About Me
Born and raised in Amsterdam, I'm Sem Aslier, a tech enthusiast with a deep interest in politics and societal change. After completing my Computer Science degree at Oxford Brookes University, I returned to Amsterdam where I split my time between studying, working, and staying active through cycling, bouldering, following my years of competitive rowing experience.
What I Do
I'm currently pursuing my MSc in Artificial Intelligence at VU University, specializing in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience, with a particular interest in Reinforcement Learning. Alongside my studies, I work in business operations at OVERHAUS ontwerp & communicatie and De Amsterdamse Mediafabriek, where I help drive company growth and develop business strategies.
Why I Blog
I created this blog to explore and discuss the fascinating intersection between artificial intelligence and politics.
